JOANIE GONELLA
Certified Professional Electrologist
Owner or OC Electrolysis & Skin Care, Joanie has a bachelors degree in the field of Neuroscience from the University of California, Irvine and a post-graduate certificate in Pre-Health sciences from Florida Atlantic University. Joanie obtained her license as a professional Electrologist in California in 2003. Today, Joanie is an internationally recognized speaker in the field of electrology. Joanie is co-owner of California Electrology Academy, a school offering electrology training in California, is an active member of the American Electrology Association and Certified Professional Electrologist.
CARISSA DUNHAM
Licensed Esthetician & Electrologist
Carissa as been a licensed esthetician for over 10 years. She graduated from Paul Mitchell in 2011 and has worked in the field ever since. Carissa found her love and fascination for skin as a teen and would soon find the same love for hair removal. From her first job gaining experience in a day spa, Carissa went on to become a brow specialist where she trained and perfected the art of brow sculpting. With a desire to help others Carissa came full circle with her alma mater and in 2018 became an instructor for Paul Mitchell. Among clinical instruction of the students, she also taught advanced topics as well as waxing and instruction of the California State Board testing.
PATRICIA SANCHEZ
Licensed Electrologist
Patricia is an active member of the Army National Guard with a background in Human Resources. She has always been an enthusiast in skin care and beauty and found her way to electrolysis while seeking a permanent hair removal method for herself. Patricia is now a licensed electrologist that graduated from California Electrology Academy and looks forward to helping others feel confident in their own skin.

Ha is an accomplished and experienced professional makeup artist, specializing in permanent makeup with a decade of experience. With a deep passion for skincare, Ha developed a keen interest in electrolysis as a solution for permanent hair removal. Committed to her clients' beauty aspirations, Ha utilizes her extensive knowledge and skills to help them achieve their desired results.
LIZ FRIAS
Licensed Electrologist
Liz discovered her passion for the beauty industry as a teenager, with a strong interest in skin care that only deepened over time. Her personal search for a permanent hair removal solution led her to electrolysis. An experience that inspired her to pursue it as a career. She began her education at California Electrology Academy in late 2024 and obtained her license in 2025. Liz is dedicated to sharing the transformative benefits of electrolysis with others, and supporting them on their journey to permanent hair removal.
