With over 35 years of experience as an Esthetician and Electrologist, Johanne Fortier Gonella CPE is a world renowned Instructor in the field of electrology and esthetics. Originally from Quebec, Canada, she spent the beginning of her career teaching esthetics and electrology in Quebec. Constantly travelling for the betterment of her skill, Johanne has trained in Paris and Germany before coming to the United States. Active in local as well as national associations, Johanne has a true passion for her field that transfers to her care and compassion for her clients. Johanne is an active member of the American Electrology Association and Certified Professional Electrologist.
Koko Chang

Looking for a permanent solution to her unwanted hair, Koko researched and came across Electrology as being the only permanent hair removal approved by FDA, and the answer to her problems. Koko was drawn to electrolysis by her desire to help people feel more confident and comfortable with themselves. Inspired and looking for a career change after working 12 years as an accountant in private corporation, Koko started pursuing career as an electrologist and obtained her state license as a professional electrologist in California in 2018 after graduating from California Electrology Academy.
Joanie Gonella CPE has a bachelors degree in the field of Neuroscience from the University of California, Irvine and a post-graduate certificate in Pre-Health sciences from Florida Atlantic University. Joanie obtained her license as a professional Electrologist in California in 2003 and became a certified permanent makeup technician in 2004. Today, Joanie is an internationally recognized speaker in the field of electrology and skin care. Joanie is an active member of the American Electrology Association and Certified Professional Electrologist.
Tessa Kelley CPE

Tessa Kelley CPE has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Harvey Mudd College and a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from UCLA. After a career in engineering management and looking for a new opportunity, Tessa graduated from California Electrology Academy and received her license as a professional Electrologist in California in 2018. Additionally, as a transgender woman, Tessa is sensitive to the needs of the trans community and brings an open and knowledgeable perspective to these individuals.
